Trump honors Chris LaCivita with highest military decoration

The President of the United States is honoring his 2024 campaign co-manager, Chris LaCivita.

The architect of Donald Trump's victory, a decorated U.S. Marine Corps veteran, was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds sustained during the 1991 Gulf War.

We recall that LaCivita also led the DP campaign in Albania for the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.

The honoring ceremony was held at the White House on the occasion of National Purple Heart Day on August 7, 2025.

"Joining us is the veteran Marine who co-managed my 2024 campaign, a fantastic talent in many ways, wounded in battle for our country during Operation Desert Storm, Chris LaCivita,"   Trump says in the video  posted on the social network on X. Chris LaCivita was accompanied by his daughter, Victoria, at the decoration ceremony.

The Purple Heart is the oldest military decoration still in use, awarded to members of the armed forces who are killed or wounded while engaged in combat against the enemy or as a result of acts of terrorism. According to the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, over 1.8 million medals have been awarded since its inception in 1782.

It is one of the oldest U.S. medals, originally created by George Washington in 1782 (then as the “Badge of Military Merit”), and is shaped like a heart with Washington’s portrait in the center. Receiving it is considered a great honor in the military, as it symbolizes personal sacrifice in defense of the country.
