49 thousand files at the Bailiff's Office/ "Some will not be executed", the director of the bailiff's service: Here are the ones that will be deleted
Nearly 49,000 files are being evaded by bailiffs, including unpaid fines since the pandemic. This stock also includes fines forgiven by the government that were not executed by institutions.
Specifically, 122 citizens still remain in debt to the state after failing to pay the fine imposed by the state police during the Covid 19 pandemic.
" Based on the advice and guidance that each bailiff has received, it has been advised that in accordance with the Code of Civil Procedure, we should put all files in civil cases ," said Ergys Qirici, director of the bailiff service.
During the interview for Top Channel, the head of the State Bailiff Service said that the stock was created by executed fines, criminal majority ordered by prosecutors, as well as invoices for court expenses. The debts have not been paid due to the inability to find addresses, but also financial inability, while with the forgiveness of fines by the government, the bailiff is removing the names of debtors from its list.
"We thought that first we would identify who the people are who benefit from the amnesty law approved last year, then take all the procedural steps for the execution of these files," explains Qirici.
The Head of the Bailiff Service explains the nature of the stock of files that are being evaded.
" There are a total of 49 thousand different cases, where the state is both the creditor and the debtor, when there is a legal-civil relationship between the parties, as well as protection orders," he says./ Tch
