Eurostat: 99% of young people online, but lack digital skills

Eurostat data shows that over 99% of young people aged 16-29 use the internet every day, 2% more than the European youth population, which reaches 97%.
In all EU countries, including Albania, young people were much more likely to participate in social media activities than the total population.
Creating a user profile and posting related messages or activities was a widespread practice for young people aged 16 to 29 compared to the total population.
Only 49% of young people aged 16-29 have digital skills, compared to the European average of 71%. ICT skills are considered essential to benefit from and contribute to internet-based activities.
According to Eurostat, by the time young people in the EU finish compulsory education, most of them have regularly used computers and the internet for a range of activities.
