Sad/ 'Only the dog remained loyal to me', abandoned mother sheltered in Astir!

An elderly mother, sitting on a bench in Astir, with few clothes, her cane and her dog by her side, was spending her second night on the streets, in the cold, alone.
For two months, she had been living in darkness, without light or water, hoping to make ends meet on her small pension. But when she could no longer pay the rent, her landlord threw her out.
The JOQ website published a photo of her, alone in the cold, which led to widespread distribution and many reactions.
Ina Malhani, a volunteer for people in need, was notified of the case and, without wasting time, contacted the director of the "Ismail Bey Vlora 2" Center, Ms. Agetina Hidershaj.
At around 3:00 in the morning, Mrs. Hidershaj herself went to Astir to pick up the abandoned mother, along with her dog.
"Only the dog remained loyal to me," the mother said as the car drove away from the cold bench that had become her "home" for two nights.
Ina Malhani tells Dritare TV that her mother, who is over 70, had only two daughters. They live outside Albania, and have long lost contact. Originally from Skrapar, the elderly woman had no family, and had long lived alone in Astir, with only her pension.
Today, she is sheltered, warmed, fed and cared for at the “Ismail Bey Vlora 2” Center in Sauk. She is conscious, without serious health problems and, above all, she is no longer alone. Next to her is still the one who never left her – her faithful dog.
