Political theater with the SP and DP lists

Yesterday will be remembered as a nightmare day for candidates who want a job as an MP. Basically, they are not bad, because only the salary and the effects on the pension are considerable. But I will not dwell on the financial aspect, but more on their political behavior.

In the camp of the largest opposition force, the emotional aspect of the grand list stands out.
Not a few candidates from the DP have expressed in public, with words, facial expressions, gestures, outbursts of comments, a kind of disappointment, despair, disloyalty, surprise that they do not see themselves on the closed list, despite the results secured in the primaries, the support for Mr. Berisha under the balcony for months, the leaps over the walls of the DP fortress on January 11, the resistance in the SPAK premises for Berisha or the impressive choreography of the dance to Berisha's song.

Their emotional outburst, despite their narrow interests, expresses a spirit of sincerity in this coalition that I don't know if it should be appreciated or not, the confidence they have in themselves and in this coalition, beyond the safe seats that do not provide votes. The sincerity of each one implies the awareness they have of the election result.
Until yesterday we referred to the survey data to judge the potential that this coalition has to make a rocket of power, today we also have the implicit desperate awareness of the candidates of this coalition who do not see themselves on the closed lists, but on the open ones, who have data from the field and know the possibilities of winning an extra mandate.

Another argument is the shielding of key figures, centrists of the re-establishment, senior leaders of the structures of the allied forces, highly experienced MPs, who instead of being on open lists and putting all their capital at the service of securing a mandate beyond the safe lists, gave way to new names with professional careers, marginalized groups, young people with vision, public personalities, etc. Behavior that manifests a narrow vision and awareness of their results on the ground and of the coalition to which they belong. In short, the principle "better an egg today than a chicken tomorrow". A "winning" vision that has accompanied this political formation for 12 years. It reduces the strategy of securing votes, does not properly harmonize the potentials and capacities of each to secure votes and creates the impression that we are entering the race to be the same figures in the next parliament.

The SP list manifests another approach that is more rational than irrational. The hypocritical manifestation of the SP candidates who are not on closed lists is striking, manifesting in front of the cameras a self-satisfaction, self-fulfillment, exaltation, joy that the party, Rama more simply, has given them this "golden" opportunity to compete on open lists. Despite the hypocrisy or pretense, which implies an objective inability to change, exert pressure or, even remotely, criticize the decision-making of President Rama for this decision as is happening on the side of the political opponent, this behavior also implies a kind of hope or opportunity that the candidates can win even on open lists.

The SP, unlike its political opponent, has understood the essence of the proportional system with semi-open lists, which resembles a majoritarian plus proportional system. The open lists have mainly included candidates with administrative, political and governance experience, in order to put the capital secured thanks to the above at the service of their mandate and the party's votes. Fixed, they have been placed in a majoritarian race where the strongest, the best, fights hard on the ground. While the open list has included district leaders, gender quotas, youth, experts, etc. have been taken into account. Fixed list of candidates for a proportional system, who benefit from the party's votes, not their own. This movement diversifies the electoral strategy on the ground, diversifies the mobilization of social groups and better harmonizes the potential of each.

In addition, their reactions in public with direction aim to convey the message to the public that they are aware of the potential votes on the ground. The opportunities to secure mandates not only in the safe zone, but also in the insecure one.
