These are the richest people in the world right now

Forbes magazine has updated its list of the 10 richest people in the world, and things have changed since Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk were fighting for the top spot. Two things have remained the same: the top 10 is unfortunately again made up of only men, and the first place belongs to the same man.
Specifically, as of February 1, when the said list was updated, the first in wealth is still Bernard Arnault, owner of LVMH. His growth in 2022 was such that his fortune reached $213 billion, while also marking the first time in decades that the leader was not from the technology space.
In fact, there are industry names that disappeared from the top ten. A typical example is Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, who went from the third richest in 2020 and one of the eight people whose wealth exceeded 100 billion dollars in 2021, to 23rd place with about 58 billion.
Meanwhile, we have to go to number 12 to find a female on the list. This is Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, of L'Oreal, with a fortune of 81.2 billion dollars, not far from Sergey Brin's 82.
Below is the list of the 10 richest people of February 2023, as recorded by Forbes.
10 richest people in the world
But one thing seems clear. These are the ones who will dominate the rankings in the coming months and it seems difficult for anyone to take the crown from Arnault. Amazon has made big profits, but Bezos is far from spending his money on space travel, and Musk still has a lot of open fronts with Twitter and Tesla to climb in the coming months.
