The media in Kosovo revealed the medical examination of the elderly woman who was raped by the nurse Aurora Pelaj in the nursing home in Peja.

The medical report states that the examination showed that the elderly woman had physical injuries earlier. Also, according to the doctors, the elderly woman is not able to talk about what happened to her, so it was decided that her testimony will be taken in another situation later.

The nurse Aurona Pelaj, who raped the elderly Minire Nura in the center for the elderly in Peja, will remain in custody for a month.

The basic court took the same measure for her two colleagues involved in the attack, Altina Rexhepi and Remzije Kuqi, who filmed the episode and did not intervene.

The three defendants will remain in the custody of the Lipjan prison. Yesterday, Thursday, November 3, the justice institutions in Kosovo appointed a psychiatrist to examine the condition of the elderly woman after the violence inflicted on her. Referring to the officials, this decision was taken to determine if she is able to testify about the event.

Meanwhile, the local authorities are continuing their investigations to verify if there have been other cases of violence in the old people's home, "Orenda" in Peja. Just one day after the publication of the serious video of this act, actress Kaltrina Zeneli, who was the first to share the video on social networks, received threats to her life.

The elderly woman's relatives pulled her from the Nursing Home immediately after the video was released, warning that they will pursue all legal avenues. For this serious case, there were strong reactions from leaders of the state and politics, civil society and citizens in Kosovo and Albania.
