The verdict for the former KLA leaders in The Hague is postponed! The final verdict will be held on July 20, 2026

The final court verdict against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army at the Specialist Chambers in The Hague has been postponed to July 20, 2026.

The confirmation of the postponement of the announcement of the verdict was made by the lawyer of the former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, Luka Mishetić, who in a response to RTK confirmed the news reported in the media.

"I can confirm that this is correct ," Misetic stated in his response to the question of whether the report about the postponement of the decision to July 20 is correct.

Although the verdict was initially scheduled to be announced on May 19, the deadline has been extended in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Special Court. These rules give the panel 90 days to render a verdict, with the possibility of an additional 60-day extension.
