In a direct link to "Opinion" from the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, Ardian Meslani, the father of the 8-year-old injured in the accident that occurred in Durrës two days ago.
With his voice trembling and deeply moved, he indicated that his son's life was out of danger.
He shared a chilling detail, that the little boy constantly searches for his friends, not knowing that they have passed away.
-I wish your son a speedy recovery and hope everything goes well. Condolences for the next time! How is he?
Meslani : The boy is now out of danger, we are in the middle of an intervention.
Meslani : It will be done here at Trauma.
-Is everything okay at the hospital, attention, care?
Meslani : Attention is okay, but I have two other children at home, they need a psychologist.
-They didn't send you to psychologists at all to calm the family down?
-How is the family situation?
-Did the boy tell you the circumstances under which the incident occurred?
Meslani: He just told me something, he's looking for his friends and says the car came at high speed, it overtook us!
Meslani : No, no! We have a private psychologist here too.
Regarding the drunk driver who hit the children, Meslani said that he knew him and that he had reported him several times for speeding.
"They would take the phone and look at it. Not just me, but the whole neighborhood. A patrol would come by, see it parked, and run away," he confessed.
"We are very shocked," he concluded with tears in his eyes.
