The Vatican offers to mediate negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, the Kremlin reacts.

The Kremlin has not accepted the Vatican's offer to provide a negotiating platform for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, as according to them, Kiev's position has made this impossible.

In an interview with the Italian daily La Stampa 10 days ago, Pope Francis reiterated that the Vatican was ready to do everything possible to mediate and end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

However, this call of the Vatican has not received the expected response from the Kremlin, who have expressed their position not to enter into negotiations with Kiev without meeting their conditions.
