The Criminal Court of Kosovo has passed the case file against the mayor of Vau i Dejës, Kristian Shkreli, who is accused of corruption in the May 11 elections.
SPAK's investigations revealed that from wiretapping, surveillance, and other investigative actions, Kristian Shkreli, in his capacity as Mayor of Vau i Dejës, was involved in illegal activities in the elections held on May 11, 2025, for the Albanian Parliament.
It is learned that during the election campaign, Kristian Shkreli promised and offered material goods to voters of the village of Stajkë, in the Vau Dejës Municipality, in exchange for voting in a certain way, in support of the political entity Social Democratic Party of Albania.
SPAK's investigations have revealed that Kristian Shkreli was active in the election campaign, in support of the PSD, exploiting the needs of the residents of the village of Stajkë for the construction of the electricity network infrastructure, an investment made during the electoral campaign period, and asking the residents of this area to vote for his preferred political entity, the Social Democratic Party of Albania.
