Former Democratic Party candidate for MP, Ilir Alimehmeti, has confessed that he met with Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, after having coffee with Ervin Salianji and other exponents of this political force.
Alimehmeti made the comments in the studio of the show 'ÇdoKënd' with journalist Merita Haklaj on A2 CNN, where he said that during the meeting he congratulated Berisha for deciding to go out into the field to meet with the Democrats.
Alimehmeti also reiterated that the movement organized by Salianji and other democratic colleagues is not aimed at the position of DP chairman.
"There is none of these types of meetings that do not benefit the DP. Doctor Berisha is the chairman of the DP. I think it is a very good moment for him to integrate this type of energy within the party, because we need it, otherwise we will have less support."
I met Berisha recently. We have the same common denominator. Because I wouldn't say he's my president and I support him, if we have different opinions. I wouldn't be in that political force otherwise, I wouldn't go there on his worst day.
"In the meeting with Berisha, I expressed my appreciation for the fact that he is going out into the field. He hadn't started yet. It's great that he is going out into the field, you will hear the people yourself. The meeting with Berisha was after coffee," Alimehmeti said, among other things.
