It is expected that the plenary session on December 11 will be the one that will be able to put an end to the ping-pong between the Socialists and the Democrats, in an attempt to elect the new ombudsman.

A source from the SP parliamentary group told Top Channel the strategy that will be followed at a time when the DP withdrew from the signatures cast for the 7 candidates.

"We will forward to the plenary session all candidacies that have collected 28 signatures by December 2," this source stated, adding that "the Laws Committee will note in the letter that will be sent to the plenary session that the DP deputies have withdrawn their signatures."

The final proposal from this commission will be drafted at the meeting on Tuesday, December 9, at 11:00 a.m. In such conditions, this will be a parliamentary test that will test the will of the parties to resolve the impasse this process has entered.

Although the DP seemed to have made a move to withdraw from this process, from within the Blue Office there is unofficial talk of a new preference of the Democrats to take him to the office of the Ombudsman. If in the past Dr. Berisha has openly expressed his approval and support for Besim Ndregjoni, this approval seems to have faded.

Lawyer Ardiana Kalaja also remains outside the preferences of the DP parliamentary group, even though they have given her the necessary signatures.

In the Democratic Party's pole position, Ms. Jola Hysaj, who holds the position of Secretary for Public Relations in the Democratic Party and for whom Sali Berisha himself has signed a supporting signature, has emerged as the first choice. But will the Laws Committee send her name to the plenary session on December 11?

This question arises because if we look at the document with the signatures submitted by Jola Hysaj, there are 27 and not 28 as required by law. The 18th signature in this document is Agron Gjekmarkaj, and then the 19th signature should come.

As you can see, the 19th signature is missing and continues with the 20th signature of MP Kliti Hoti. A simple math of this document shows that Jola Hysaj has only deposited 27 signatures.
