Bardhi: Albania, a one-party state! The Socialist Party has taken over the constitutional institutions

The Chairman of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, warned that Albania is moving in the wrong direction, moving away from parliamentary democracy and transforming into a one-party state.
He denounced that the majority is single-handedly appointing institutions that should be independent, from the Ombudsman to the Bank of Albania, eliminating the balance of powers.
According to Bardhi, a government that centralizes power and controls independent institutions does not approach European Union standards, but rather moves away from them.
ALBANIA IN THE WRONG DIRECTION: FROM PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRACY TOWARDS ONE-PARTY STATE
The majority is single-handedly appointing institutions that should be independent of it, from the Ombudsman to the Bank of Albania.
When one party takes over the constitutional institutions that should control it, the balance of power disappears. This is no longer a parliamentary democracy. It is a one-party state.
And a government that centralizes power, weakens independent institutions and controls them, does not move closer to the European Union, it moves away from it!
