There are two consecutive reports filed against Agron Malaj, the former mayor of Mati Municipality, now an elected MP for the Dibra District. Agron Malaj has two serious criminal files, which are being intensively investigated by SPAK.
According to official data and sources provided by CNA, the first report was made last year and in September, in an official response from the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, to the complainants, it is stated that a criminal case was registered in relation to report no. 273/2023 made against the persons Erion Veliaj, Agron Malaj, Fatos Malaj and Elvin Tivari. This is a case that is not related to the investigations that were conducted for citizen Erion Veliaj by prosecutor Ols Dado and the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.
Then another complaint was filed against Agron Malaj, shortly before the elections, but more important is the investigation registered a year ago. The complainants claim that Agron Malaj and his companies have benefited from around 5.4 million euros in tenders, from various institutions in the Dibra Region and mainly in the Municipality of Mat, through the company “Global Security”. SPAK has also deepened the investigations in relation to citizens Fatos Malaj and Elvin Tivari, who have often been accused of their strong ties to the directors of the Municipality of Tirana, with the famous “5D” file.
CNA was able to obtain official data on the report made against citizen Agron Malaj and the aforementioned citizens.
We are now faced with the fact: Will Agron Malaj be arrested for the serious crimes and the two reports that have been made or will he become an MP? This is also related to the fact that a few days ago, with the release of the wiretaps of Erion Veliaj, it was said that Agron Malaj had run for MP to escape SPAK, but until the moment of his swearing in to Parliament, Agron Malaj has no immunity and SPAK continues to investigate him intensively to get to the bottom of the truth.
We recall that Agron Malaj was the former commander of the fire group on January 21. This person is also known for his close ties with Pëllumb Gjoka of the famous "Metamorphosis" file.
According to official data and information from that time, after January 21, Pëllumb Gjoka was seen in close proximity to Agron Malaj and it is suspected that Gjoka was the former guard's connection with the socialists.
CNA was able to secure not only the reports, but also the data from the institutions where SPAK has requested information and is conducting intensive investigations regarding the criminal offenses, in which Agron Malaj, his brother Fatos Malaj, Elvin Tivari are suspected of being involved, in collaboration or not with citizen Erion Veliaj, but mainly with each other, for secured benefits.
This is due to Agron Malaj's duty as mayor, but also due to another scheme where it is suspected that the directors of the Municipality of Tirana and Agron Malaj himself, through the company "Global Security" and other businesses, exchanged tenders with each other, both in the Municipality of Tirana and in that of Mat.
CNA will continue to publish exclusive data, which will dissect the companies of Agron Malaj and his brother, Fatos Malaj, "Global Security", "La Brissa", etc., as well as to get to the bottom of the fact: Will we see Agron Malaj as an MP or will he be put in handcuffs before he takes the mandate of an MP?! / CNA
