"Legal measures will be taken", Rama on the floods: We have a plan ready with all scenarios for compensation

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the podcast 'Flasim', focusing on the floods that have engulfed the country, stated that legal measures will be taken against people who throw garbage in areas other than designated areas.
According to Rama, in addition to weather conditions and infrastructure, citizens are also responsible, who, as a result of throwing waste into drainage canals, have an impact on the flooding situation.
"But beyond the atmospheric vortex, climate change, the amount of precipitation that in four days was as much as the average for January, that is, 30 days of precipitation, in the last five years, the human factor has its weight. It has its weight for good or for bad, just as infrastructure has its weight for good or for bad. Not to stop, but to make these extraordinary measures of snowfall and floods more controllable. While, as a government, we are clear about the need to continue investing in the country's defense system, I honestly do not know how to deal with the extreme arrogance towards nature that we as a people manifest hour by hour," said Rama.
He also announced the preparation of a compensation plan for citizens affected by the floods.
"Our intensive work does not end with the improvement of the weather situation, but will continue with the repair of damage to infrastructure and any damage to families affected by the water. Our verification teams have been on the ground since day one, while the Ministry of Finance has already prepared the entire plan with compensation scenarios. We await the final result of the verifications to move on to the compensation phase."
"Yes, we as a people! The dizzying flows of plastic from the rivers in these cases are frightening, they are disgusting, they are criminal in the full sense of the word. Throwing plastic bottles and bags on the streets, as if this country were not our common homeland, but a garbage can in a territory that does not belong to us with which we have no connection, where, wherever we feel like, we release dung like cows, the remains of our consumption, is something that completely covers with dung the flag of our independence as a state, the history book of our centuries-old efforts as a nation to live in our state, the face of each of us as people of this people and as citizens of Europe, who bear the Albanian name, which we rightly bear with pride in many cases, which we rightly feel as the key word that makes us feel proud when you are in the stadium, but which we desecrate, the Albanian name, by "desecrating Albania, desecrating the nature of Albania, desecrating the face of Albania."
