As we are at the height of the holiday season and on the eve of September, the month when the new Parliament is expected to be constituted, following the elections of May 11, 2025, journalist Ardit Hoxha of Euronewsalbani, together with moderator Ilir Kazferi, has conducted an analysis of the opposition situation and the political action that will begin in the new season.

Hoxha underlines that the Democratic Party is considering the possibility of drafting a new platform, which aims to include elements from the diaspora in the ranks of the DP. He explains that Sali Berisha has hinted that this reform process could start in September and end by spring of next year.

"According to internal sources, most voices in the DP agree that the current situation cannot continue like this. A deep process of internal cleansing, reflection and regeneration of figures and generations is needed, with the aim of having a strong rise in the 2027 local elections and then a victory in the 2029 general elections." - said Hoxha.

The journalist also added that currently in the DP there is no figure with the potential to rival or repeat a speech like the one Berisha gave in September 2021.

The lack of a charismatic and strong character in front of Berisha, according to him, does not mean that the leader should remain at the top forever, but emphasizes that currently he is irreplaceable and unrepeatable.

Hoxha underlines the need for a process of total renewal, restructuring and regeneration in the Democratic Party, starting from the leadership to every branch and ordinary member.

"One of the main current problems is that in the structures of branches and sections there are members who are registered only on paper, but who are actually employed in the administration or have collected votes for the SP. This shows that the disintegration has started from below," said Hoxha, among other things.
