The Special Court sets the date, here's when the first trial session for Meta and Kryemadhi will be held

A date has been set for the start of the trial against former President Ilir Meta, former MP Monika Kryemadhi and three other defendants.

The Special Court will hold its first session on April 27, at 11:00.

According to SPAK, the defendants are accused of corruption, money laundering and failure to declare assets.

During the preliminary hearing, they denied the charges and claimed that the investigation against them is political.

The judicial trio consisting of Etleva Deda, Atalanta Zeqiraj and Besmir Stroka have set April 27 at 11:00 as the day when the first trial against the former president will be held.
