Denouncing Berishism is a prerequisite for denouncing the government

There is a consolidated idea in opposition circles that those who denounce Berisha or Berishism as a political phenomenon are taking water to the source of power. Although the idea was promoted by Berishists, there is some truth in it.
A good number of government spokespeople use Berishism as a pretext to justify Rama's rule. Therefore, there are many who argue that the "opposition" of the opposition is a justification for the government, thus assuming that there are two contradictory forces, the government and the opposition.
The problem is that the Berisha opposition and the Rama government are two heads that feed off the same phenomenon and not two opposite or clashing phenomena. Despite the personal clashes in style, rhetoric and behavior between Berisha and Rama, they offer neither governance, nor vision nor leadership because, as my colleague Mustafa Nano rightly notes, they only know how to rule.
They are two sides of the same coin. Therefore, it is both impossible and untenable to denounce Berishism without denouncing Rama's rule in the Socialist Party and in the state through the privatization and personalization of public power.
Just as it is hypocritical to pay attention to Rama's asphyxiation of our democracy without denouncing the public execution that Berisha is doing to it in the Democratic Party. Normalizing what is happening today in the DP is legitimizing a political standard that cements Rama in power while perpetuating Berishaism in the opposition.
Beyond any minimum political standards and requirements, Berisha claims to be re-elected as head of the DP, not only in violation of the Basha article that he himself put in the statute, but also without any candidate facing him, even formally.
As my colleague Desada Metaj, who knows the DP much better than I, has clearly explained, this is such a low level even for the miserable standard of political competition within the DP, that it constitutes a clear legal violation that can only be corrected in court.
The manipulation of elections within this party has long been acknowledged, even publicly by its senior exponents. But today it is not just about manipulating the race, but about its complete elimination.
Those who intend to confront Berisha, who according to the status should not even be in the race, are today being expelled from the party. So Berisha has gone from being elected to the head of the DP through a manipulated electoral process to self-appointing himself as its leader.
President Berisha appoints Berisha as president, in a party that is increasingly Berisha's, by Berisha and for Berisha. Just as the Socialist Party and its power today are Rama's, by Rama and for Rama.
Në të dyja rastet kemi të bëjmë me priviatizimin flagrant të pushtetit publik nga kryetari. Janë dy fenomene identike, edhe pse njëri në opozitë dhe tjetri në pushtet, që legjitimohen në mënyrë reciproke.
Funksioni i Berishizmit është ulja e vazhdueshme e standartit politik në mënyrë që pushteti ta kalojë atë me sy mbyllur. Pikërisht kur fillon një kritikë publike ndaj diktaturës politike në PS që e ka transformuar atë në një kazermë politike ku ka më pak debat se tek PD-ja, berishizmi eleminon tërësisht garën politike brenda partisë më të madhe opozitare, qoftë edhe si farsë.
Është e njëjta llogjikë që operon përballë SPAK-ut. Pavarësisht se Rama i ka shpallur luftë SPAK-ut sepse ky institucion i ka hapur petët e lakrorit në nivelet më të larta të qeverisjes së tij, ky fakt zbehet përballë fushatës anti-SPAK të Berishës që premtoi mbylljen e SPAK-ut pasi denoncoi Dumanin si kriminel.
Pra funksioni i opozitës berishiste është ulja e vazhdueshme e standartit politik përballë degradimit të qeverisjes Rama. Në këtë kuadër duhet kuptuar edhe standarti i ri politik që po vendos berishizmi në PD duke kaluar nga zgjedhja, qoftë edhe formale, tek emërimi i kryetarit të PD-së nga kryetari i PD-së.
Është një tjetër frymëmarrje politike që Berisha i ofron Ramës sot kur qeveria e tij është më e delegjitimuar se kurrë. Pak rëndësi ka nëse diçka e tillë është e qëllimëshme, e koordinuar, apo nëse Berisha e bën për hallet e veta dhe të kalamajëve. Rëndësi ka rezultati.
Natyrisht që edhe Rama nuk i mbetet borxhli berishizmit. Standarti qeverisës që ai po ofron, nivelet e korrupsionit dhe të kapjes së shtetit, penetrimi i krimit të organizuar, tashmë konkurrojnë edhe qeveritë më të shëmtuara të berishizmit.
Kaq mjafton që një pjesë e mirë e popullit opozitar të kujtoj me mall standartin “e lartë” të qeverisjes Berisha ku ministrja virtuale anti-korrupsion nuk ishte produkt i një agjencie të kapur nga korrupsioni dhe ndoshta edhe krimi.
Kemi të bëjmë me një garë politike mes pushtetit dhe opozitës se kush e ul më shumë stekën për të legjitimuar palën tjetër. Berishizmi është kampion në uljen e standartit politik. Ai rizgjedh në krye të PD-së për katër vitet e ardhëshme kryetarin 82 vjeçar që e udhëhoqi në humbjen më të thellë në historinë e saj, në kundërshtim me statusin që po ky kryetar vetë aprovoi dhe pa asnjë konkurrencë, qoftë edhe formale.
Ndërkohë që qeveria Rama ka fituar përparësi të dukshme në zhytjen e standartit qeverisës dhe shtet formues. Pas zëvendësimit të Partisë Socialiste, të pushtetit vendor, të administratës publike, të Parlamentit dhe të Këshillit të Ministrave me egon e tij, Rama ka vendosur ta riformatojë pushtetin e tij në funksion të mbrojtjes së Ballukut, pas përfshirjes së saj në një nga skandalet më të mëdha të qeverisjes aktuale.

It is a political symbiosis that reproduces the status quo by reducing and discouraging voters not only politically but also physically. The emptying of Albania from the active population, from the youth, from the brains and intellectuals is the most monumental political achievement of the Rama-Berisha duo, which keeps this binomial afloat.
Albanians leave because a media, political and economic ecosystem constantly tells them that between the evil in power and the evil in the opposition, they are forced to choose the lesser evil. Therefore, the entire public debate focuses on determining the lesser evil that citizens must choose.
Meanwhile, most voters know very well that such a choice does not exist, because there are not two but one evil. Berishism in opposition and Berishism in power are part of the same political phenomenon, despite the different colors or personalities in which it is embodied.
Therefore, denouncing what is happening today in the DP, as the open privatization of a political power that is, and should remain, public, is a prerequisite for denouncing what is happening with the SP power that has already been privatized by Rama.
Denouncing the corruption of the current government without denouncing the degeneration of the political standard that is occurring in the opposition is as hypocritical as denouncing Berishism that ignores the privatization of the Socialist Party, the government, and the Albanian state in the hands of Edi Rama.
In both cases, denunciation serves the gravediggers of our democracy and not the strengthening of its standards./ Lapsi.al
