The Constitutional Court annuls the Assembly's decision to change the

The Constitutional Court decided to accept the request of the opposition MPs and repealed the new Parliament regulation on the increase of committees.

The Constitutional Court has found violations in the expedited procedure and the way meetings are called.

The constitutional judges concluded that the Assembly's decision should be annulled, because it violates the principle of representative democracy related to the freedom of expression of MPs as a result of the violation of the rules for convening the Assembly meeting as well as the procedure followed for the adoption of the regulation.

According to the Court, the Assembly's decision to approve the new regulation is incompatible with the Constitution.

3 days after its constitution, with 79 votes in favor, the Assembly approved the amendment to the regulation, which created 11 permanent parliamentary committees from the 8 that existed previously.

During the vote in the Assembly on the rules of procedure, the Democrats abandoned the session and considered the issue a "constitutional coup".

1/5 of the deputies sent the case to the Constitutional Court, claiming that the process lasted only 1 hour and the deputies did not have the opportunity to present their proposals. During the session, the Assembly claimed that under the emergency conditions it had applied the rule as much as possible.
