Indrit Vokshi: Berisha "the patriot" cries over Veliaj's plight

Analyst Indrit Vokshi has ironized Sali Berisha's silence regarding the massive protest held in Pristina in support of former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.

In a reaction on social media, Vokshi stressed that Berisha, who describes himself as a “leader of the national interest,” has not commented on the rally or on the injustice that, according to him, is being done to the former leaders of the Kosovo war. He added that Berisha remained silent even when the Special Prosecution Office described the KLA as a “criminal enterprise” and when the head of the Special Court, Ekaterina Trëndafilova, spoke about the “crimes of the KLA.”

"On the contrary," - writes Vokshi - "he complains every day that Erion Veliaj is being mistreated in prison and that Ilir Meta is being accused without evidence. Even his deputies, like mannequins in a boutique that the owner keeps as decoration at the mosque, do not react."

Vokshi noted that, in the meantime, Edi Rama has proposed a resolution for Albania-Kosovo cooperation and international lobbying, while Elisa Spiropali has taken a public stance on the issue. "These traitors to the nation and anti-Kosovo are taking a stand, the patriotic leader, there is no stance. Today, Berisha and his gang are not even on the level of Elisa, who does not even consider herself a nationalist. God shames you in different ways," he concluded.
