A bucket of chemical mixture has alerted the Vlora Police, who have immediately set up a security perimeter in the area. According to preliminary information, it was environmentalist Niko Dumani who notified the authorities, after noticing the danger posed by the substance in question.
According to Dumani, it is a chemical mixture of methane and sodium, which had been stored for several years in the apartment with the intention of using it for school laboratories. He states that the situation got out of control after the substance came into contact with electricity and water, which caused a fire and a potential explosion hazard.
The police, after assessing the situation, also notified the fire department and requested the evacuation of people from the area for safety reasons. Authorities are continuing their investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and the level of danger posed by this chemical mixture.
