Suspected of being thrown from the Osumi canyons, the body of a 42-year-old man is found after 10 days of searching

Today, in the village of Kakrruk, on the outskirts of the city of Skrapar, the lifeless body of 42-year-old Ilir Kurti was found, who jumped into the river on the evening of February 18 in the Osumi Canyons. For several days, a search and rescue operation was organized by the Armed Forces and the police. Due to the high flow of the Osumi River, his body was pulled from the current in the village of Kakrruk and transported to the morgue of the Berat Regional Hospital.
Ilir Kurti had left the apartment on February 18, while his mother, Çarçiko Kurti, had been reported missing on the morning of February 19. Before jumping into the river, he had sent a message to his brother, where he wrote: "I'm jumping into the river."
At the place where he is believed to have jumped, near Kanioneve in the village of Blezenska, his red motorbike was found. A few meters away, on a rock, his phone, a pack of cigarettes, a lighter and an empty bottle of wine were found.
It is learned that Ilir Kurti acted under severe psychological conditions, following his separation from his wife and lack of contact with his 7-month-old son.
After finding the body, the police are carrying out procedural actions to clarify the full circumstances of the incident.
