Prime Minister Edi Rama criticized the opposition for the way it presents developments in the country, emphasizing that many important issues for Albania are identified only with "a miserable political war."
In his podcast "Flasim" he stated that the efforts of political opponents aim to cover Albania's affairs with "the tar of despair, the mud of their hatred, anger and resentment."
"What is most worrying, as far as I am concerned and as far as we are concerned, is that there is no talk, no communication, no discussion about the affairs of Albania. On the contrary, the affairs of Albania are identified only with a miserable political war and with a continuous effort by anyone who is on the opposite side to us, who govern Albania, to do their best to cover the affairs of Albania with the tar of their despair, with the mud of all their hatred, anger, and resentment," said Rama.
Rama acknowledged that Albania has problems and still has a lot of work to do, but stressed that the country "is working and Albania's affairs, as a whole, are on track."
"Albania has problems, of course. We have a lot of work to do, without a doubt; we have not done every job properly and sufficiently, there is no question about that, but Albania is working and Albania's affairs, as a whole, are on track," declared the prime minister.
He also highlighted the country's progress in the historic process of joining the European Union, denying claims that negotiations have been blocked or hindered.
"The most important historical process of membership in the European Union is on the line, with negotiations continuing and, in the meantime, everything that is said when it comes to negotiations is related to the big lie that: "they are blocked", "they are stopped", "they are hindered", due to the unreasonableness of all those who aim to hinder Albania to fight the government. The simple truth is that this great work of Albania continues day after day and day after day and, soon, again, as we had in the process of opening the chapters, we will have very good news for everyone ", said Prime Minister Rama.
