Rama continues the pressure on justice: Don't touch Belinda because I won't increase her salaries anymore!

Edi Rama has reacted for the second time today (December 9, 2025) by increasing the pressure on the Constitutional Court to be careful when making a decision on his deputy, Belinda Balluku, as he will no longer approve any salary increases, either for members of the Constitutional Court or for others in the justice system, including SPAK and GJKKO.

In a subsequent post, Rama declares that he will not accept the judges' request for a salary increase, which he calls "unjustifiable."

We recall that the Prime Minister's pressure on the Constitutional Court is increasing just two days before the court will review the case of his partner in power and tenders, Belinda Balluku.

"It's impossible," some write to me, regarding the judges' request to increase their salaries by 1,600 Euros above the current one! Not only is it possible, but 1,600 Euros is the increase that ordinary magistrates and advisors are asking for, because among the increase seekers are also the special ones, that is, those of the GJKKO and SPAK, who have the highest salaries in the republic, but they are also asking for an increase of 3,100 Euros!

Yes, no joke, the sea where they currently receive 6130 Euros per month, now they want the Constitutional Court to give them back the yogurt with 3100 Euros plus, and as a result they receive 9230 Euros per month. How is that possible?!

There is no way, when you manage to change the government with a court decision, taking over the powers of the Prime Minister, the President of the Parliament, all at once, without having received a single vote from the people in your entire life, how could you not manage to take from the state treasury, with another court decision, thousands of euros to increase your salary?! Who has not understood that I am not worried about a minister, but about the real risk of overturning the democratic balance between powers?!
