May 11th Elections/ Government approves additional fund: 150 million lek to support political parties

In order to support political parties in the election campaign for the May 11 elections, the Council of Ministers has approved an additional fund of 150 million lek.
According to the decision, the anticipated financial effect will be borne by the reserve fund of the Council of Ministers.

In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution, point 1, Article 88, of Law No. 10019, dated 29.12.2008, “Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania”, as amended, Articles 5 and 45, of Law No. 9936, dated 26.6.2008, “On the Management of the Budget System in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, and point 1, Article 14, of Law No. 115/2024, “On the 2025 Budget”, upon the proposal of the Minister of Finance, the Council of Ministers
This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
