Lezha was shocked this Thursday (April 17) by a murder. The victim was Gjovalin Prendi, 65 years old, who turns out to be the father of Roan Brahim alias Sidorel Prendi, also executed in a mafia assassination in Athens about a year ago.

Today's execution took place in the village of Pllane at the door of his bar by as yet unidentified persons. Initially, the 65-year-old was injured and transported to the hospital, but later died.

Roan Brahimi is also suspected of being connected to the murder of Gentjan Bejtje on March 15, 2024 in Larushk, Kruja.

A year ago, unknown persons on a motorbike shot and killed an Albanian man who was in the car with his wife, who was slightly injured.

The car stopped at the intersection of Messolongiou and Tsaldari streets.

The couple's seven-year-old child, who was playing in the square with his grandmother, witnessed his father's murder with his own eyes, according to eyewitnesses.

The executioners reportedly monitored the victim's family's every move, while apparently saving a parking spot for Roan Brahimi to trap him.

The perpetrators saw their target arrive and then started the engine and drove away from the scene. In this way, the killers left a parking space free to serve as "bait" for the 32-year-old, who parked the vehicle there waiting to pick up the child.

The executioners rode around the square on a motorbike and returned to the scene, where one of them shot the victim without worrying about passersby, according to  MEGA  , which has reconstructed the dynamics of the crime with video.

The two perpetrators wear dark suits that cover their features. They stand near the driver's door and shoot.

Two bullets took the young man's life. His wife initially lost consciousness and when she regained consciousness, she got out of the passenger seat, covered in blood.

There are a number of events in which he is suspected of being involved. In fact, the young man, according to unofficial data, is one of the declared rivals of Ervis Martinaj, and consequently in several cases his name has been marked on the list of people who should be questioned. He appeared on the scene in a horror event that took place in a bar in the village of Zejmen in Lezha a few years ago. Dressed in police clothes, it is suspected that he was one of the four armed men who asked to meet the owner of the bar, who fortunately was not in those premises. They fired guns at the bar and then left.

The Lezha police attempted to put him on the wanted list, but he was never wanted for that event, even though his name was reported as a participant in that event. Later, when his name was again considered as one of the suspects or who might have known about the event, it was linked to the horror act of July 17 two years ago, when Brilant Martinaj and his two friends were ambushed at the Fushë Krujë Bridge. In the order issued a few hours after the event, the name of Roan Gj. Brahimi was listed as the fourth among six people who had to be found and questioned for the massacre with three people killed and then burned, in broad daylight and on the country's busiest road artery.

In fact, it is not known today whether Roan Brahimi was questioned or not, but suspicions were also raised about him for two assassination attempts on Ylli Brahimi in Milot, he was also suspected of an assassination attempt in Shkozet, and for strong connections with people who have led powerful criminal groups, but it was said that he left Albania some time ago.

He returned to Athens, where it is believed he had gone to celebrate Easter with his son and mother, and there he fell into an ambush organized by people who, according to the Greek investigation, had followed and had the family under surveillance! The Greek police immediately launched an investigation and suspect that the assassins may have crossed the border and entered our country.

Although the mechanism of the assassination is similar to several other murders that have occurred in Athens in recent years, they suspect that the perpetrators may have traveled from Albania, because the victim was unknown in Athens.
