Minister of Defense Pirro Vengu and Minister of Interior Ervin Hoxha, in a communication to the media from Delvina on Wednesday evening, outlined the current situation in this area and the Gramsh area most affected by the large fires of the previous day.

Asked about the recent controversies over the lack of Albanian aircraft to fight fires, Minister Vengu said that the aircraft are in the process of being purchased, while emphasizing the lack of pilots to fly these aircraft.

He said that the Gramsh outbreak has been contained and today there is no spread, while emphasizing that there are several outbreaks in the Finiq municipality and 1 other in Tirana, outside of residential areas, which is being monitored.

" The Gramsh hotspot has been fixed, there is no spread today, the situation in the Finiq municipality has several hotspots, and in Syrin e Kaltër, the wind and temperatures are in our favor. We have a situation in Tirana, at altitude, far from residential areas where we must be vigilant... What we need to do is find the pilots of the planes, for which the purchase procedures have been completed, so we have also opened an aviation school. The planes are being purchased, they must be manufactured to come to Albania, it is a process that takes time, everything is transparent, we have not made disbursements because we have not signed a contract ," said Minister Vengu.
