Prime Minister Edi Rama will address Albanian citizens today with a message as soon as he arrives at "Mother Teresa" Airport, after completing his 6-day visit to the US, where he attended the UN Assembly.
According to the announcement made the day before by the Prime Minister's Office, due to the unconfirmed departure time from JFK Airport due to bad weather, the exact time of the address will be announced this morning.
"As soon as he returns from his visit to the United Nations, Prime Minister Edi Rama will address Albanians with a message from the press room of "Mother Teresa" Airport. Given that today's departure from New York's JFK Airport is still unconfirmed as a result of bad weather, we will announce the exact time of the address tomorrow morning," the prime minister announced.
The prime minister's message comes after SPAK's investigations into the dismissed director of the State Intelligence Service, Vlora Hyseni, who is suspected of having handed over secret information to businessman Ergys Agasi, arrested for the 'AKSHI' dossier.
Rama will also be present at the National Security Council meeting to be held on Monday at 08:30 at the Brigades Palace.
The meeting is expected to assess the situation created for national security following the arrest of Vlora Hyseni.
