German DJ Tomcraft, real name Thomas Bruckner, has tragically passed away at the age of 49, sparking an outpouring of tributes online.

Bruckner's family made the announcement on social media: "With a heavy heart, we must inform you that yesterday, July 15, 2024, our beloved father and husband passed away. We will forever hold in our hearts and love until we are reunited again.”

Tomcraft rose to fame in the late 90s and early 00s with his hit single Loneliness, which peaked at number eight in the UK in 2002 and reached the coveted number one spot the following year.

In addition to Loneliness, Bruckner was also known for his hit songs The Circle, Prosac and Silence. He once reflected on the process of writing his megahit Loneliness in a book by Jon Kutner and Spencer Leigh titled 1,000 Number One Hits.
