Dietrich Mateschitz, the founder of Red Bull, has died at the age of 78 after a serious illness . Considered the richest man in Austria, the entrepreneur built a global empire around energy drinks. He owned 49% of the shares of Red Bull, which also owns the F1 team of the same name.

The remaining 51% belongs to the Yoovidhya family, with whom Mateschitz had collaborated for the production of energy drinks of the same name. Mr. Mateschitz's fortune is estimated at around 25 billion euros, placing him 51st on the Forbes list of the world's richest people.
