Billiards, Eklent Kaçi is declared world runner-up

The Albanian billiards player, Eklent Kaçi, has been declared runner-up in the World Championship 2024 (9 stone discipline), held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on June 3-8, the Albanian National Olympic Committee announced today.

The Albanian billiards player, who was declared world champion in 2023, was defeated in the final by the American, Fedor Gorst, with a narrow score of 15-14.

This final will be remembered as the most exciting and hard-fought final in the history of the sport of billiards.

"The 2024 WPA World Championship with 9 stones was a proof of the high level of competition and sportsmanship in Billiards (professional) and Eklent Kaçi made us proud again, once again raising the Albanian flag in the world arena", KOKSH announced.
