Feta Fetai, otherwise known as the Albanian Modric due to his great physical resemblance but also the same position on the field with the Madrid star, recounts his first steps in football in the column "Albanian Talent". The red and black footballer says that the person who pushed him towards football is his uncle who supports him every step of the way along with his parents.
For 8 years in a row, Fetai has stayed with the Skopje team, then moved to Rabotnicki, where last season he made the big step in his career with the transfer to Lokomotiva Zagreb in Croatia. The red-and-black midfielder has also played with the youth of North Macedonia, but he always waited for Albania's invitation. He describes the moment of his debut with the U-21 National Team as an indescribable feeling.
The Albanian player who motivates him is Kristjan Asllani, while his biggest goals are to play in one of the 5 main leagues in Europe and to become part of the A National Team as soon as possible.

Feta, how did your relationship with football start? Where did you start and who is the person who pushed you towards this sport?
I started playing football since I was little in the neighborhood where I grew up in Skopje with my friends. At the age of 7, I signed up for the neighborhood team FC Shkupi. The person who pushed me towards this sport is my uncle who supports me every step along with my parents.
Tell us a little about your career steps? What was your first team? What about the other teams?
My first team is Skopje. I played there for 8 years in a row and then continued to Rabotnicki. Now I am active in Croatia with the Lokomotiva Zagreb team.
Feta, in March of this year you accepted the invitation to represent Albania U-21 and so far you have played two matches. How did you feel when you went down to the field with the red and black jersey?
When I landed on a field it was an indescribable feeling that can only be experienced and is difficult to describe in words. I want to thank the Federation and the coach of the National U-21 team, Alban Bush, for the opportunity given and the trust they have in me.
You have been described as "the new Modric" but is Modric really your idol?
Yes, it is true because of the position I play and the physical resemblance to Modric, I have been described as the Albanian Modric. I am proud of this comparison, he is my idol and I hope I can have a career like his.
How would you describe the last season with Lokomotiva Zagreb and where do you see yourself in the future?
It was my first season with Lokomotiva Zagreb, a bit difficult until I acclimatized and adapted to the team. Now I feel good and I hope to contribute as much as possible to the team. At the moment I am focused on making the best possible season with Lokomotiva Zagreb.
Who is the Albanian player that motivates you the most, that you have as an example?
The Albanian player who motivates me is Kristjan Asllani. His career is growing and he plays with a big club like Inter. He also made excellent appearances in the European Championship and is an important player for Albania.
Personally, what is your biggest goal in football?
I have two goals for the future. The first is to play in one of the 5 best leagues in Europe and the second is to become part of the A National Team as soon as possible.
The biggest dream with the Albanian National Team as a footballer?
The biggest dream is undoubtedly to qualify again for the European and fight to qualify for the World Cup. I want to give my contribution to achieve these objectives and I hope that in the future my dream will come true.
