French football in mourning, the 20-year-old player passes away

Day of mourning in French football, because an athlete has passed away at a very young age. Defender Valentin Poreye, born in 2003 and who spent time with Lille's youth team, has closed his eyes for good at the age of 20.

According to media reports, he died last Sunday for unclear reasons. His former team made a post on social networks, expressing condolences to the family.

"Lille learned with sadness of the death of their former player, Valentin Poreye, at the age of 20. Valentin was a young defender who played for the U16 team between 2018 and 2020," the club wrote.
