The Kremlin reacted today (March 23) with a statement on the War in the Middle East and announced that it was carefully examining the different and often contradictory positions expressed in the talks on Iran.

Moscow expressed the view that the crisis would soon lead to a peaceful solution.

Dmitry Peskov told the TASS news agency that Russia was continuing to monitor developments following statements by Donald Trump, who ordered the Pentagon to postpone attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure for five days.

"Today there are many different statements, including contradictory ones. We continue to closely monitor the situation and hope for a quick transition to a peaceful course," Peskov said.

He answered a question about whether the US decision creates a perspective for resolving the crisis.
