Details emerge from the shooting in Mirdita, where 45-year-old Valter Lleshi lost his life.
Lleshi was found lifeless inside a Toyota car. Lleshi had been shot in the head and body, and it is learned that he had been on his way to work. 18 shell casings were found at the scene.
The victim is suspected of being the perpetrator of the 2020 murder of Anton Keli, who worked as a taxi driver in Rrëshen.
It is learned that the victim worked as a driver on the machinery that was bombed a few months ago.
“ At around 07:10, in the village of Shkorret, Mirditë, on the Reps–Spaç road, citizen V. Ll., around 45 years old, was found in a vehicle, suspected of being killed with a firearm.
Immediately after receiving the notification, the Police services went to the scene and intensive checks in the area are continuing to locate and capture the perpetrator(s).
Meanwhile, a special investigative group has been established and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working intensively to capture and administer any evidence that will serve the investigation, with the aim of fully clarifying the event, documenting it legally, and identifying and apprehending the perpetrator(s ), the police statement said.
