Trash or Treasure?/ There are photographs that are worth as much as a story

TREASURE OR TREASURE?

There are photographs that are worth a history book. This banner does not require much explanation. On one side are those who write the history of the Albanian nation. On the other side are those who have written the history of the Albanian transition. On the right are the men who built our national identity:

Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, the symbol of European resistance and Albanian survival. A name that raised the nation above fear and made it immortal. Ismail Qemali, the man who raised the flag of independence and returned Albania to the world map. Luigj Gurakuqi, the enlightened mind that built Albanian education, state and political culture. Isa Boletini, the fighter who understood that freedom is not given, but earned. Adem Jashari, the sacrifice that showed the world that an Albanian can be killed, but cannot be subdued.

These people did not ask for privileges. They did not ask for positions. They did not ask for tenders. They did not ask for propaganda.

They left behind history.

On the other side, on the left, stand the figures that symbolize the 35 years of Albanian transition. Years of corruption. Years of arrogance of power. Years of sterile conflicts. Years of mass emigration. Years of institutional capture. Years of unfulfilled promises.

Years where Albania lost millions of its sons and daughters around the world.

Ranking doesn't matter. Party doesn't matter. Political color doesn't matter. Because the problem is not an individual. The problem is a model that has consumed the energy of an entire nation. And it is precisely this model that Albanian youth is challenging today.

This is the big news. Not the names, not the slogans, not the banners.

But the fact that a generation is waking up and demanding the right to take control of its own destiny. Because history teaches us one thing:

Nations are not destroyed when they lack heroes. Nations are destroyed when they lack courage.

"History doesn't ask how many years of government. History asks what it leaves behind."

"A nation does not advance by worshipping power, but by controlling power."

"When youth awakens, fear begins to change sides."

Moral: Don't look at these young people with suspicion. Don't look at them with contempt. Don't look at them with fear.

Support them.

Because those who dare to protest today will dare to vote tomorrow. And if one day they are disappointed by those who will come after, they will remove them too. This is democracy. This is hope. This is the strength of a free nation. So my call to every Albanian, in Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Chameria and the diaspora is simple:

Don't be a spectator of history. Be a part of it. Because there are moments when a people must choose.

Happening now...
