59-year-old man in Greece steals woman's wallet and withdraws over 10,000 euros from ATM

A 59-year-old foreigner is accused of withdrawing more than 10,000 euros from an ATM, using debit cards he stole from a 54-year-old woman in Florina, Greece.
The theft occurred between mid-November 2024 and mid-February 2025, without the victim realizing it. The case was recently solved by the Florence Police, after a targeted investigation and the use of evidence.
Specifically, the 59-year-old is suspected of discreetly removing two debit cards from the 54-year-old's wallet and then proceeding to withdraw a total of 10,600 euros from bank ATMs.
A charge of theft has been filed against him, while preliminary investigations have been conducted by the Department of Investigation and Prosecution of Crimes of Florence. The case will be transferred to the competent Criminal Prosecution.
