Accident in Lushnja/ Motorcycle ends up in canal, two people save 17-year-old drowning in water

A 17-year-old riding a motorcycle adapted for transport went off the road and ended up in a canal.

The incident occurred on the road connecting the city of Lushnja to the highway. Two people who witnessed the incident stopped the vehicle they were traveling in and helped the injured person who was drowning in the canal water.

After the police and ambulance were notified, the injured person, who was pulled out of the canal by passers-by, was taken to Lushnja Hospital in serious condition. The 17-year-old, named Mateo, is a resident of Savë and was returning home.

Police at the scene are carrying out the necessary procedures to clarify the causes of the young man's veer off the road and his injuries. It is initially suspected that the injured man lost control of his motorcycle and ended up in a canal next to the road, which is filled with water.
