Action on the road of the Nation/ Police stop the 27-year-old from Kosovo with 197 km/h

A 27-year-old man from Kosovo was fined 55,000 new lek, as he was driving at 197 km/h and without a seat belt.

Also, due to the increased flow of traffic, during the weekend we left behind, the services of the "Milot-Morina" Highway Safety Unit have intensified controls, using intelligent tools, with the sole purpose of preventing road accidents.

As a result, 57 vehicle drivers were punished with administrative measures for speeding over the allowed rate.

NOTICE:

The driver of the "Audi A7" type vehicle, a citizen from Kosovo, was driving on the National Road, in the direction of Kosovo, at a speed of 197 km/h and without wearing a seat belt.

As a result of intensive monitoring by the employees of the Traffic Police, using the modern logistics equipment, which the Traffic Police already has at its disposal, on the road axis "Kalimashit-Morinë Tunnel", the luxury vehicle type "Audi A7" was found to be traveling at high speed beyond the allowed rates.

After the verifications, it turned out that the 27-year-old from Kosovo was driving the vehicle at a speed of 197 km/h and without wearing a seat belt. For both of these violations, in accordance with the Highway Code, this citizen was punished with an administrative measure of 55,000 new lek.

Also, due to the increased flow of traffic, during the weekend we left behind, the services of the "Milot-Morina" Highway Safety Unit have intensified controls, using intelligent tools, with the sole purpose of preventing road accidents. During this weekend, the following were identified and punished with the relevant administrative measures:

357 drivers, for speeding over the allowed rate. For 41 of them, the supplementary sanction, suspension of the driving license, has been set;

70 drivers, for wrong passing;

3 drivers, for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Along the entire length of the "Milot-Morina" highway, checks continue with smart cars, automatic radars, drones, cameras and alcohol testers, with the aim of preventing road accidents.
