The appeal of the GJKKO leaves in force 19 years in prison for the 4 defendants for the attempted murder of Xhevdet Plaku

The Special Appeal has approved the First Instance decision for Dedan Gjoni, Algert Rapi, Rexhep Rapi and Dejvi Gjermëni.

Upholds the 5-year prison sentence for Rexhep Rapi, 4.8 years in prison for Algert Rapi, Dedan Gjoni and Dejvi Gjermeni.

In total, SPAK has requested 29 years and 6 months in prison for the 4 members, the mastermind Rexhep Rapi, also known as Kep Arapi, his nephew Algert Rapi, former crime chief at the State Police Dedan Gjoni and Dejvi Gjermeni.

For Kep Arap, SPAK is requesting a sentence of 7.6 years in prison, but due to the summary trial, a sentence of 5 years in prison was requested. For Algert Rapin, 7.4 years in prison are requested, while with the summary trial, a sentence of 4.8 years in prison was requested.

The same request was read by SPAK for Dedan Gjoni, the former head of crimes at police station no. 6, and Dejvi Gjermeni, for whom a sentence of 7.4 years in prison was also requested, while with the shortened trials, 4.8 years in prison are requested.
