The appeal of the GJKKO leaves in force the security measures for the defendants in the "AKSHI" case

The Special Court of Appeals has left in force the security measures previously imposed on the defendants in the AKSH case.

According to the Appeals Court's decision, Mirlinda Karçanaj and Hava Delibashi will continue to remain under the security measure of "house arrest", while for the other defendants in this trial, the previous measures imposed by the first instance remain in force.

The court assessed that there are no changes in circumstances that would justify easing or changing the security measures, thus deciding on their continuation until another decision is made.

Meanwhile, Ergys Agasi and Ermal Beqiraj remain wanted.

DECISION

The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a
monocratic panel composed of Judge Florjan Kalaja, today, on 05.02.2026, ruled on
criminal case no. 4 act, dated 27.01.2026 registration, on the appeal of the appellants MK, HD,
EI, R.Rr, AP, GH: “- Appeal against decision no. 125, dated 15.12.2025, of the
Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with the object: Assigning
a personal security measure. – Appeal against decision no. 131, dated 18.12.2025, of the
Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with the object:
Verification of the conditions and criteria for assigning a coercive personal security measure
for the persons under investigation MK, HD, EI, R.Rr, AP, GH”, approving decision no. 125, dated
15.12.2025 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and
Organized Crime, regarding the dispositions against Ms. HD, Mr. EI, Mr. GH, Ms. MK, Mr. AP and Mr.
R.Rr and decision no. 131, dated 18.12.2025 of the Special Court of First Instance for
Corruption and Organized Crime. It also ordered the prohibition of publication or
disclosure of this decision until the closure of the preliminary investigations, pursuant to Article 103
of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
