Strange case in Kaçanik: Gunshot, self-inflicted injury, suicide threat – two arrested
In Kaçanik, last night, a case of exchange of gunfire between two vehicles was initially reported at around 8:15 PM.
Police responded to the case, but announced that they found no evidence.
However, according to the 24-hour report, police units continued their investigative actions and at around 9:40 PM they found an abandoned, crashed car.
The vehicle, according to the police, had holes that were suspected to have come from a firearm, reports Klankosova.tv.
"A female Kosovar witness has been arrested in connection with the case, who stated that her boyfriend, the male Kosovar suspect, fired a gun at several unknown houses and accidentally injured himself," the KP announced.
Meanwhile, while police units were searching for the suspect, he was spotted on the roof of his house.
He "threatened to commit suicide, whereupon the police superior immediately negotiated with the suspect and after negotiations the suspect was convinced to come down and arrested, and then by decision of the prosecutor he was sent into custody, while the AK-47 firearm suspected of being used in the case was confiscated."
"In consultation with the prosecutor, the witness who is suspected of having made a false statement is also being taken into custody," the Police said in the 24-hour report.
The case has been opened as "Causing general danger/use of a weapon"
