He was an actor of about 100 roles, in theater and films. He has often been the presenter of numerous artistic activities. Also, Kabashi has been described as one of the greatest interpreters of poetry in Albania. He has made a great contribution to Albanian filmography. Kabashi has dedicated a part of his life to the theater with his diverse roles, among which the most special one is that of Socrates in the "Last Apollogia of Socrates".

Mirush Kabashi was born on April 17, 1948 in Shkodër and grew up in Durrës. His origin is from Gjakova. In 1970, he graduated in Acting at the High Institute of Arts in Tirana and started working at the "Aleksander Moisiu" theater in Durrës. There, he continued until 1994, also having the role of director, 1991-1993. Then he worked at Albanian Television, in the Artistic Programs department as a creator and presenter, and from 2002 onwards at the National Theatre. Since 1985, with interrupted periods, he has been active as a teacher of "Acting Mastery" at the Academy of Arts. He is an actor of about 100 roles, in theater and films. He has often been the presenter of numerous artistic activities. Also, Kabashi has been described as one of the greatest interpreters of poetry in Albania. He has made a great contribution to Albanian filmography.

At the National Festival of Professional Theaters in 1989, Kabashi was declared "Best Actor" with the role of Sadush Neziri in Ruzhdi Pulaha's comedy Shadow of the Other. With this role, at the Balkan Theater Festival held in Corinth, Greece, he was recognized as one of the best actors. In 2002, he won the "Best Actor" award as a protagonist at the "Apollon 2002" Acting Festival with the role of Noka in Ilir Bezhani's comedy "How well did he die".

In 1997, in the ninth edition of the Experimental Theater Festival organized in Cairo, Egypt, Mirush Kabashi was awarded the "Golden Sphinx" as the most successful performer among one thousand participating actors from forty-six countries of the world. Mirush Kabashi, who at the end of 2014 was awarded the high title "Honour of the Nation", previously had the titles "Merited Artist" and "Great Master of Work".
