From enemies (Russians) to Greeks and now Iranians, Rama confused about who is organizing the protest, but there are only Albanians in the square

Prime Minister Edi Rama's statement that behind the protests and public debate about the Zvërnec project are hidden Iranians and a "hybrid war", is his latest version of describing the reason for the citizens' protest.
Every time the latter raise their voices, an external enemy is sought. Yesterday it was the Greeks. Other times the "enemies" of Albania and the Russians are labeled as such. Today it is the Iranians. Tomorrow it could be another foreign power.
But why? Can't Albanians protest about their own problems without someone else's influence?
Iranians are not coming to the streets. Greeks are not coming. Foreign agents are not coming. Albanian citizens are coming who have real concerns about the way public decisions are made, about the lack of transparency, about corruption, about the increasingly unequal relationship between power and the public interest, as well as about environmental protection.
If the government responds to criticism with foreign conspiracy theories, it seems to have lost touch with the reality of its citizens.
Democracy is not weakened by protests, but when the government sees the protesters as instruments of an external enemy. History has shown that this is always the easiest path for the government, but not the right one for the country.
