Belgium/ Convicted of murder of Albanian arrested, suspected of another assassination attempt...

Belgian police have arrested an Albanian citizen, suspected of an incident that occurred about a month ago at Place Bizet in Anderlecht, where a person was injured after gunfire.

The suspect denies being the perpetrator who seriously injured a man on the night of March 21-22. The injured man is no longer considered in danger and the first aid provided by the owner of the burger restaurant where he took refuge is certainly related.

According to sources, the suspected perpetrator has been arrested and charged by the investigating magistrate, who has however placed him under electronic surveillance. At first glance, it seems that the case is not related to the drug trafficking and the violent scenes associated with it since the beginning of the year.

The suspected perpetrator was sentenced to 21 years in prison for the murder of an Albanian in 2013.
