Details/ Skanderbeg volleyball players have an accident in Qafë Thanë, what is their condition like?

Instead of the excitement of a grand final, Skanderbeg's volleyball girls experienced a nightmare.

While traveling to Tirana to play the second final against Tirana, the team bus was involved in a serious accident in Qafë Thanë, shocking the entire sports environment.

Amidst panic and fear, it is learned that volleyball players Malaj and Mehmeti have suffered shoulder injuries.

Coach Orlando Koja was also injured. They were urgently transported to the Prrenjas hospital, where they are receiving first aid.

In these difficult moments, all attention is on their health condition, while the fate of the long-awaited match remains in the shadows.

All details about the accident have not yet been released, while the situation casts a shadow over the fate of the second women's volleyball final match.

Meanwhile, the Volleyball Federation has also reacted to the incident.

Today, at around 11:00, on the Qafë Thanë-Librazhd road, the vehicle transporting the Skënderbeu women's volleyball team of Korça, headed towards Tirana to play the second final match of the Super League at the Sports Palace in Farka (5:00 PM), was involved in a road accident with another vehicle.

As a result, all those present in the Skënderbeg team vehicle suffered minor injuries, while two of the players were taken to the Prrenjas city hospital for more specialized assistance. Their condition is stabilized.

Given the circumstances of the event, the Executive Committee of the Albanian Volleyball Federation, based on the Internal Regulations, decided:

1. The second final match in the Women's Super League Championship between Tirana and Skënderbeu, scheduled to take place on 26.04.2025, at 17:00, at the Farka Sports Palace, will not take place.

2. The Albanian Volleyball Federation will soon announce the new date and time for the second final match, once there is a full assessment of the health condition of the Skënderbeg team.
The Albanian Volleyball Federation wishes all athletes a speedy recovery and a speedy return to the court.
