Durrës/ Strong waves push a boat with two people on board ashore

A tugboat has run aground due to bad weather at sea.

Due to the strong wind blowing from the southwest, the vessel that was in the queue was carried away by sea currents and ended up on the shore, in the Durrës beach area, between Agip and Teuta.

There were two people on board, but their lives are out of danger. In the rough sea conditions, the tugboat crew was unable to make the necessary maneuvers.

A tugboat is a floating vessel typically used for technical assistance or to transport damaged vessels. In this case, the tugboat spun out of control, ending up on shore.

The Durrës seaport captaincy said it is monitoring the situation to enable his return to the sea in safe conditions, but the darkness and the sea are not favoring intervention today.
