A gunshot wound was recorded this afternoon, around 7:10 p.m. Police say the injury occurred at a bar on "Imer Ndregjoni" street in Tirana.
The injured man, identified as Ilirjan Dosti , was rushed to the hospital, where he is reported to be out of danger.
Preliminary sources indicate that the suspected perpetrator of the incident is the neighbor of the injured man, while the conflict between them is suspected to have started for trivial reasons.
According to the same sources, the perpetrator was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, which escalated the conflict that ended with the use of a firearm.
"On 17.04.2026, at around 19:10, in a bar on "Imer Ndregjoni" street, citizen ID, around 45 years old, was injured, suspected of being shot, and is receiving medical attention in hospital," the police announced.
The investigation team is at the scene and is working to identify and capture the perpetrator, as well as fully clarify the circumstances of the case.
