They took the Italian businessman hostage in his villa and robbed him of 300

Two Albanian citizens have been convicted in Italy for the aggravated robbery of a businessman, while another Albanian, suspected of being the gang's organizer, is expected to stand trial in July.

The news was announced by  Italian media , according to which  Klodjan Cesku , 31 years old, and  Arsild Memaj, 21 years old, have pleaded guilty and have been sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in prison, as well as a 1,200 euro fine.

Meanwhile, Marjan Ndrekaj , 44, will face justice as a suspect in leading the criminal group. The court rejected his request for a summary trial, scheduling the hearing in July.

All three are charged with robbery in collaboration with aggravating circumstances.

The incident took place on the night between 7 and 8 October 2025 in Trento. Four people entered the villa of 72-year-old businessman Eugenio Gallizioli, threatened him with a gun and held him hostage for about four hours.

According to the investigation, the victim refused to reveal the safe code, which forced the perpetrators to use a cutting tool to open it and take around 300 thousand euros.

The perpetrators' movements were revealed through security cameras and wiretaps, and three of them were arrested after several weeks in different areas of Italy. A fourth person remains at large.

The businessman has filed a civil lawsuit and has requested 400 thousand euros in compensation for material and moral damages.
